The aroTHERM plus is Vaillant’s next generation air source monobloc heat pump. As one of the most eco friendly and efficient heat pumps on the market, the aroTHERM plus has a global warming potential of 3, thanks to the natural refrigerant, R290.
This option offers a seasonal coefficient performance of up to 5.03 (i.e. 1 kW of energy in = 5.03 kW of energy out). Therefore, this particular solution is highly efficient when compared to other forms of heating and competitor air source heat pumps. The aroTHERM plus uses R290 refrigerant gas, which, amongst other benefits, enables the unit to produce a flow temperature of 75°C, granting you up to 25% more usable hot water.
This is considerably better for the environment than other refrigerant gases, with a low global warming potential of 3. Additionally, R290 has an ozone depletion potential of 0, reducing damage to the ozone layer.
